What the chart does

TradingView Advanced Charts

The chart is TradingView’s own Advanced Charts library, the same engine behind the charts on TradingView itself. Candlesticks, bars, Heikin Ashi, line and area, a crosshair that reads every bar, and the price scale in linear or log.

Drawing tools

Trend lines, horizontal and vertical lines, rectangles and channels, Fibonacci retracements and extensions, pitchforks, text and notes, and the measure tool for a move in points and percent. Drawings stay where you put them as you pan and zoom.

Indicators

TradingView’s indicator library is open on this chart: moving averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, supertrend, VWAP, volume profile and the rest, each with its own settings. Add as many as the pane will hold.

Eight timeframes, cut at the open

One, three, five, fifteen and thirty minutes, one hour, four hours and one day. Intraday bars are anchored to the 09:15 open rather than the clock, so an hourly bar runs 09:15 to 10:15 and the first bar of the session is whole — the way an Indian terminal cuts them.

Live one-minute candles

Index spot candles come from Zerodha Kite Connect, written every minute through the session and aggregated in the browser to the timeframe on screen. The chart updates as the bars are written rather than on a refresh.

Free, and no account

The chart is open to anyone. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to install — it runs in the browser, on a phone as well as a desktop.

Questions

Is the TradingView chart on MarketCue free?
Yes. The Nifty and Sensex charts on this site are open to anyone, with no account and no sign-in. They run TradingView’s Advanced Charts library with its drawing tools and indicator library available.
Where does the chart data come from?
One-minute index spot candles from Zerodha Kite Connect, written to MarketCue through the trading session and aggregated in the browser to whichever timeframe is on screen. It is index spot, not futures: an index is a calculated number and carries no volume of its own.
Which timeframes are available?
One, three, five, fifteen and thirty minutes, one hour, four hours and one day. Intraday bars are anchored to the 09:15 IST open rather than to the clock hour, so an hourly bar runs 09:15 to 10:15 and the first bar of the day is a whole bar rather than a 45-minute stub.
Can I draw on the chart and add indicators?
Yes. The drawing rail on the left carries trend lines, Fibonacci tools, shapes, text and the measure tool, and the Indicators button in the header opens TradingView’s own library — moving averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands and the rest. Both are the library’s own, with their full settings.
Does the chart update live?
During market hours, yes. New one-minute candles appear as they are written, so the bar on the right edge fills in as the session runs. Outside market hours the chart shows the last session on record.
Which indices can I chart here?
Nifty 50 and Sensex. Those are the two index series MarketCue records one-minute candles for.
